Product Info

L.S. Lowry is one of Britain’s most iconic and instantly recognisable painters, celebrated for his distinctive depictions of industrial life in the North of England. Best known for his evocative mill scenes and urban landscapes, Lowry captured the daily rhythm of working-class communities, often set against a backdrop of chimneys, factories, and terraced streets.

A keen observer of people, L.S. Lowry was fascinated by the ebb and flow of everyday life—what he called “the battle of life”—and his paintings are populated by his signature "matchstick figures," moving through spaces that feel both familiar and strangely timeless. His work stands apart for its unique visual language: stark compositions, muted colours, and a flattening of perspective that gives his scenes a dreamlike, almost theatrical quality.

This collection has been produced in partnership with The Lowry, the museum and gallery in Salford that houses the world’s largest public collection of paintings and drawings by L.S. Lowry. More than just an artist of the industrial age, Lowry is now widely regarded as one of the most significant British painters of the 20th century, whose art captured not only the landscape of his time, but the humanity within it.

Delivery

If the selected print is in stock, the usual lead time is 2 to 3 business days. This is because all orders are created from scratch, and made to order. Once your order is produced and shipped, you'll receive a fulfillment update, automatically.

If any one of the prints you order is currently out of stock, the lead time increases to 7 to 10 business days, in order to allow time for the lithograph printing of your order, as well as the framing, packing and shipping process.

Once a consignment has left us, you will receive updates on it's progress directly from our carriage providers. Unfortunately, we are unable to take specific instructions, directly, but you should be able to communicate these directly to the carriage providers once they have made contact with you.
